I breathe crochet :)

Hello there!

How’s everything?

This post is again about my hooky update πŸ˜‰ Sometimes I feel like I breathe crochet πŸ™‚

1-yarn-for-the-girls-ponchos

I choose some yarn… bright and beautiful colorful yarn to start the girls ponchos… I love when children wear colorful clothes…Β Don’t you agree?

And I started the two ponchos together…

2-christina's

Christina, my oldest girl (8years) chose the yellow to begin with… Here is her poncho so far…

3-sarah's

And Sarah (6years old) chose the fushia to start with πŸ™‚

4

The yarn I am using is called Nako Lux Ninnos a very soft yarn with bright and lovely colors… It is worked with a 3.5mm hook…

I chose for the girls to make this granny poncho… It is very soothing and relaxing to work on… very simple pattern to follow once you make your first two rounds… I just love thisΒ design πŸ™‚

You can find the pattern right here πŸ˜‰

6-vintage-stripy-wip

I’ve added also more stripes to my vintage stripy blanket…

I love the colors melting on this project… and I love to pick it on the evenings while watching TV with hubby πŸ˜‰

8-cmb-feb-so-far

And my crochet mood blanket is slowly growing. In the pic above you can see the first 20 days of February…

9-cmb-january-and-feb-so-far

and on this one you can see it all (January + 20 days of February) …

What do you think?Β  Are you in love like myself? πŸ˜€

You can find here the chart of the squares and how I am joining them together as I go with the last round πŸ˜‰

10-yellow-filofax-love

I am back to my yellow filofax and using it every night to plan the next day is always a pleasure for me… I love when everything is clearly written on a paper… I am “old-fashion” I know πŸ˜‰

Have to go now…

I’m wishing you a beautiful day!

My poncho

It is done! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! It was done last week but could’t share it because the children ( all 3 ) were sick at home. Today the girls feel better and are back to school. Baby Joe is still at home but he is feeling muchΒ better too πŸ™‚ So, today, life is good again and I thought about sharing with you my poncho πŸ™‚

You know that I don’t like to see myself in pics so this is me without the head πŸ™‚

my-poncho-1

I think I will not wear it outside the house… It will be a kind of “wearable blanket” that keeps me warm while I moveΒ around πŸ™‚

Hubby is jealous πŸ˜‰

my-poncho2

It was crocheted with a 100% acrylic yarn called Nako Vizon. It is very similar to the Stylecraft DK but a little little bit thicker. The hook used is a 4.5 mm one.

A white background would be better for this pic I know…

The squares of this poncho were joined as-I-g0. I did the front and the back separately and sew them together at the end. You can find the chart of the squares on the right sidebar of my blog under the name : circle in a square. (I don’t know why I can not make a proper link here πŸ™‚ Sometimes I just don’t understand this computer πŸ™‚

Some close up pics πŸ™‚

my-poncho6

I used the moss stitch to make the edging. (1sc-1ch-1sc etc etc ) and added some picots for the last round πŸ˜‰

Did I say that I am in love with my poncho? No not yet…

Well… I AM MADLY TOTALLY TRULY IN LOVE WITH MY PONCHO.

I am right now wearing it while writing this post πŸ™‚ and I want to make two more for the girls πŸ™‚ Maybe with a thinner yarn and without the black background of course … We’ll see πŸ˜‰

Until then stay warm (under a blanket or a poncho)

and have a beautiful sunshiny and colorful day!

Love

crochet love

Good morning sweeties,

I’ve been crocheting a lot…a really lot these days…It seems like the hook is burning in my hands and yarn is flying everywhere around me πŸ™‚ A lot of creative ideas are melting in my head and I feel every night that I am running out of time to make all I want to make and I wish that the days were longer (a 48h day is good for me πŸ˜‰ )

I am working on more than 4 wips at the same time…Yes, each day I am picking 3 different hook sizes and working with them… crochet crochet crochet every second of myΒ free time πŸ™‚

Here are some…yes some of my wips of the moment…

1-poncho

* My poncho: The front is done…All the circles of the back are done too…Still have to join them and sew the front and the back together and decide on an edging πŸ™‚ So, a tadaaa post very soon πŸ˜‰

2-crochet-mood-blanket-jan25

3-crochet-mood-blanket-jan25

4-crochet-mood-blanket-jan25

* The crochet mood blanket… January 25… 25 squares done so far…I am adoring this project πŸ™‚ and how the squares of my moody days are coming along together beautifully…

5-new-granny-cushion-(1)

6-new-granny-cushion

* A new granny cushion with the wonderful mirage yarn πŸ™‚ I love the colors of the mirage range but it is a thinner yarn worked with a 3.25 mm hook so small projects are done with itΒ (You see I am not so patient to work a blanket with this yarn πŸ™‚ )

7-secret-project

* A new secret project with a chunky yarn will be revealed to you very soon I hope πŸ˜‰

Blogging about my wips is a way for me to stay focused on them and remember to finish some before beginning others. That don’t always work … but I am trying my best πŸ˜‰

Wishing you a wonderful creative week!

Kisses from the bottom of my heart
