Tissue box: the pattern

Hello my friend,

This is for you today how I made the tissue box cover…Hope you understand my charts ๐Ÿ˜‰ (I use Corel draw to make them, it is a graphic design software)

To begin you have to make a small classic granny square crocheted with 2 rounds with the same color…

and then crochet a second square and join it to the first as you go, like on this pic:

and then you continue making squares and joining them as you go as this pic:

50 granny squares in total joined as you go….choosing randomly the colors ๐Ÿ˜‰

That’s it my dear ๐Ÿ™‚

You can also decorate your tissue box by crocheting a round of dc and then another round of small shells on the top of your box…

Enjoy!

Thank you all for your visit and your sweet messages here! I really really LOVE reading them,

Have a great sunday ๐Ÿ™‚

New scarf project and a pattern :)

Good morning my friend,

How are you today?

I was so inspired two days ago after seeing the lovely post of Lucy about her new shawl project…so inspired that I took my hook right away and tried the pattern she used…

The pattern is lovely but I wanted to make a long scarf , something like a long neck warmer you know what I mean? and this pattern was kind of “bold” for a scarf…I wanted something “lighter” (Is that a word?)

So, I took an old crochet magazine and transformed my way a pattern made originally for a doily…and I loved it so much……so much…that I crocheted a flower and after another flower etc…with leftover yarns….

…so much that I made right away a graphic pattern for the modified version of the original pattern…

…so much that I want to continue making a long series of flowers to make a very long scarf I can wrap it two or three timesย  around my neck…

so? what do you think? Do you want to join in? You can make a “light” shawl with this pattern too or some coasters maybe ๐Ÿ™‚ I have to leave you now and return to my new project ๐Ÿ™‚ (so excited about it!!!!!!!!!)

Have a beautiful week end!

Angie

Hexagonal throw done!! Hourray!!!!!

Good morning sweeties around the world,

My hexagonal throw is finally finished ๐Ÿ™‚ Do you remember the very first post about it? It was on November 3 a little while ago… and now that it’s done I am happy with how it turned out…Let’s see some pics, shall we?

It is not a big throw…it is big enough to decorate my couch

and decorate my future couch (which will be in a light beige color) in the new house :):) (Can’t wait for the move anymore…It will be on the first of march so I have more than 4 weeks to be prepared)

More pics? Yalla…

I crocheted this throw using the leftover yarns of the MONSTER …So it is : Stylecraft special DK a 100% acrylic yarn using a 3.5 mm hook…

and I crocheted a very simple border with the white color made with dc and some “picots”

Sorry if some pics are a little blurry…

Hope you enjoyed the pics…One more before I go…

and to save the best for the last…My favorite one:

Feel like you are in a Gustav Klimt painting, don’t you? :):)

One last thing before I go, if you have facebook come and join “le monde de Sucrette” group I’ll be more than happy to have you between my friends there and let me know it so I can join your group or page if you have one …

Have a beautiful day wherever you are,

Kisses,

New Challenge before 2011 :)

Goodย evening my friend,

Every crochet-lover (like me) have at home a box of left-behind-unfinished-wip-projects, Am I right? We always start a project and something happens (like a new yarn arrival, a photo on flickr, a project on someone else blog that inspires us a lot…) and we leave behind what we’re working on to begin something new more exciting …and this happens always to me…:(

This week, I decided to open the “left-behind-unfinished-wip-projects-box and finish every project in it before end 2010!! and what a challenge for me!!

But, as I will not be able to finish wip-blankets I decided to tranform them into cushions…and That will lead me to make 7 different CUSHIONS !! yaaayyyyyyyy!!

I’ll show you today two projects I am finishing right now:

The first one is a rectangle cushion:

I found in “the box” 60 small granny squares. The original idea was to make a baby blanket and that was in march 2010 but as nobody got pregnant around me I left the baby blanket behind…for something else…

So I decided to join the 60 squares (6×10) together and make a big rectangle cushion:

I’ll show it to you when it will be 100% done in another post ๐Ÿ™‚

The second project is a cushion I started in june 2010

I started crocheting this cushion with a thin cotton yarn and when my order of ricco creative (which is a thicker cotton yarn) arrived I left behind this cushion to try the new yarn:)

and today I am finishing it and I’ll show it to you “done” very soon I hope!

and I am also finishing my mexican cushionย ๐Ÿ™‚

So my dears, stay tuned for a lot of 100% done-cushions-postsย soon to come ๐Ÿ™‚

and you? Do you have a box of left-behind-projects? Will you empty it like me before end2010??

Here the weather is gray, windy, rainyย and cold…the perfect weather to stay at home and crochet …

I am gonna make a cup of tea, put on some music, and and and….crochet ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a warm evening!
