Granny MONSTER: Part4

Good morning my friend,

How are you today?

The we was great, I’ve been very busy the past week here at home…did not find soo much time for blogging but managed good time for crocheting ๐Ÿ™‚

So, today I’m gonna show you the progress made with the MONSTER:) I am feeling soo happy crocheting this blanket and I am loving it day after day more and more ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve made 3 rows until now: which is 21 squares done soo far…These are the last 7 squares:

I am feeling so sorry that I did not make it clear when I said who wants to join me in this big adventure…

Some of you crocheted a square and wanted to send it to me…This was sooo kind from you, thank you soo much…but It was not about that (although I loved this idea of making something from different squares coming from around the world:) maybe next time;))

All I meant was: Who wants to join me and make your own MONSTER like mine so we can encourage ourselves and crochet together something as big as this kind of blanket…

Anyhow sorry again…

So, what do you think?

Isn’t it beautiful or is it just me who see it with the eyes of love? ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I am a granny lover ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a perfect week my friend!

Wherever you are around this globe, I wish you a beautiful monday ๐Ÿ™‚

Kisses,

Hello everybody!

How are you feeling today? Hope you are in an excellent mood, just like me ๐Ÿ™‚

I am so happy that 3 from you joined me in the granny MONSTER adventure:) I am not alone anymore ๐Ÿ™‚ YOUPIIII!

and I am waiting with excitement to see what you have done …

The sweet friends who joined so far are: Trapule, Seelenfein and Rachel. Jacquie is not sure yet ๐Ÿ™‚

You can take a peek to their lovely blogs by clicking on their names…They did not post any square yet but they will very soon…

I hope we will be many many many making this project so we can encourage each other to enjoy crocheting such a big blanket …

And like a french quote says: “Plus on est de fous et plus on rit”ย  (which means: the more we are crazy the more we laugh…Did I translate good Rachel? ;))

So, who’s gonna join next?

The squares you are seeing in this post are number7, 8, 9 and 10!

It is beginning to take shape and I am in love with what it looks like so far …

I adore the mixing of the colors…

I’m feeling like it’s gonna be a very happy MONSTER…and it will bring life and colors to our bedroom ๐Ÿ™‚

This is the first time I make a project so big and I was afraid i’ll not be able to finish it…but now, thanks to you who are reading me behind your screen I am sure I will :):)

Have a beautiful day!

Kisses,

Granny MONSTER: Part1

Good morning to you,

Beautiful day today ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Hope that it is the same for you all wherever you are around the globe…

I am gonna show you the beginning of the Granny MONSTER…

This blanket, when finished, will measure 235x235cm without the border :D:D and I assure you it is giving me MONSTER pleasure to crochet…

and I wish we can be many making a MONSTER so we can share all together our pics…Yalla, courage, who wants to join me in this crazy adventure;)?

Like I’ve already told you this blanket is made with big granny squares…

Every square is made with 14 rounds (a multiple of 7). And there will be 49 squares in total (7×7)…7 is my lucky number and I always try to add number 7 to my works…I am an anxious-superstitious person ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the idea that every square in one-of-a-kind, so special with its own colors…

I have 5 squares until now…joined together on-the-g0…

…finishing the 6th one:

I will have some difficulties to take pics because it is too big…but I’ll do my best to show it to you from every corner ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m sending small parcels of love and happiness to you all through the net…

Have a beautiful Monday,

Sucrette

Stuffed heart with dc: the pattern

Hello my friend,

Here is the pattern of the stuffed heart with dc (better than the one with tr because it has less holes:))

The crocheting method is the same as for the heart made with tr:

Begin making the first hump of the heart : the bump A:

1st round: 8dc

round 2to round 6: 16dc

Youโ€™ve already done the first bump which we are going to call bumpA

You have now to do another same bump (exactly the same as A) made with 6 rounds that we are going to call bump B.

round 7: You have to join together A and B with 3 dc and continue making the round with 28dc

Now you have A and B joined together with the 7th round โ€ฆ

continue your heart like this:

round 8: 28dc

round 9: 19dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decreaseโ€ฆetc to have a total of 19dc)

round 10: 19dc same as round 9

round11: 13dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decreaseโ€ฆetc to have a total of 19dc)

round 12: 13dc same as round11

round 13: 9dc (1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1dc, 2-st dc decrease, 1 dc, 2-st dc decreaseโ€ฆetc to have a total of 9dc)

round 14: 4dc (2-st dc decrease, 2-st dc decrease etc)

That’s it my lovelies! Very simple you’ll see when you’ll try it ๐Ÿ™‚

This simple heart makes a very nice Christmas tree decoration. And it is lovely also in a closet if stuffed with lavender:)

I would love to see some of your hearts made from this pattern, I’ll be very happy!

Have a perfect week end!

Kisses,

3D Flower blanket !

Good morning to you my friend,

Today is a big day! I finished my 3D Flower Blanket and I am very proud of the result! Christina my daughter loved it! She said that it is like a garden in her room and these sweet-5 years old-words make my heart very very happy ๐Ÿ™‚

The blanket is made with 42 squares (6×7) and 7 different colors and every square is one of a kind as you can not find two identical squares…

It measures 115×100 cm and the size is ideal for a 5 years girl who wants to put it on her while watching TV during the cold winter nights…

The Yarn used is: Stylecraft special DK

The colors are: Aster 1003, Sherbet 1034, Fondant 1241, Meadow 1065, Lipstick 1246, Saffron 1081 and White

Ordered from this shop.

The crochet hook is a 4mm ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve joined together the squares with a white line of dc.and I made another white line of dc before making the final border in red.

You can find the pattern of the square here.

This blanket was a pure pleasure to crochet…

…hope you like it !

Have a beautiful week!
