On the hook…

Good morning sweeties,

I am so thankful for all the lovely comments you wrote concerning my home ๐Ÿ™‚ I was so happy reading each word …some made me laugh and some brought tears to my eyes (don’t worry it is my “hormones” ๐Ÿ™‚ ) Thank you sooo much! Your comments gave me back confidence about my decorating taste and the colors surrounding me…

You gave me back the joy I needed to live peacefully and happily in my loving home and that’s why I’m so thankful to you…You made me appreciate again my place…You really did aย great job ๐Ÿ˜€ THANK YOUย from the bottom of my heart!

Today, I want to show you a cushion I’m working on…It is a patchwork cushion crocheted with leftover “Mirage” yarn…

I think my house is full of leftover yarn and I don’t have any ball ofย yarn that is still totally new ๐Ÿ™‚

Mirage is a 100% acrylic yarn worked with a 2.5mm crochet hook. Wanna take a look first to the yarn used ?

Yes, I know, you are like myselfย a yarn-addict ๐Ÿ˜‰ and you totallyย love to see yarn pics… ย I understand ๐Ÿ™‚ hehe

I just love the colors and the softness of “Mirage”.ย ย The only drawback of this is that yarn is very thin (crocheted with a 2.5 mm hook) but it is ok and I try to get used to it…

and this is the cushion I’m working on…mostly finished ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope to make also some new covers for the leather stools I have at home with “Mirage” once the cushion is done…

I love these tiny granny squares joined together as-I-go …

What do you think?

I’m off now to take a cup of coffee in my favorite chair surrounded by my favorite colorful cushions and throws ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sending you big big kisses and hugs through this post ๐Ÿ™‚

On a monday morning…

Good sunny morning to you all!

I hope that the sun is shining today in your part of the world ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, a lot to share with you…

Progress on 3 wips and a good news…

Let’s begin with the wips shall we?

A new painting…I’m loving so far…

More slow progress on my Love Birds bed blanket….

Some squares were 100%done, some needs the last blue round and some are still babies…

but I’m happily working on it ๐Ÿ™‚

and more progress on my poncho too : 19 rounds so far ๐Ÿ˜‰

and finally the good news is: Yes, I’m expecting (you already guessed ๐Ÿ˜€ …but chuuuut I’m still afraid to tell ๐Ÿ™‚

I am now in the last days of my third month but I still have that fear … I think it will never goes away… but my heart sings with joy when I think about the little baby growing inside of me ๐Ÿ™‚

and yes, I’m gonna spoil him (or her) with a lot A LOT of crochet ๐Ÿ™‚ For my first two babies (in 2005 and 2007), I did not crochet at the time, so my mother made for them crocheted blankets and I was making cross stitch for their rooms…but now…OH MY…I’m gonna make blankets, hats, socks, amigurumi toys, little sweaters… everything I can make with my hook ๐Ÿ˜‰ I can not wait to STAAAAAAAAAART ๐Ÿ™‚ crazy mom!

That’s all my sweet friends ! I am today very happy and calm! I hope you’re feeling the same!

THANK YOU so much as always for your support and your kind comments … I am so lucky to have you all ๐Ÿ™‚

Wips…

Good morning sweet friends!

It is monday already and February is at its end…Isn’t it great to feel that spring is not so far anymore? I hope on this monday morning that you’re feeling spring in your heart and that what counts ๐Ÿ™‚

Today, today, today… just a small follow up on my wips…

The pile of squares of “Love Birds” is slowly growing …

It is a super feeling to see that yarn is slowly becoming small and the pile of crocheted squaresย is slowly growing ๐Ÿ˜‰

ย I’m loving this blanket even though I’m working on it on a very slow rythm …one square maybe two/ a day…

ย

ย

I’ve began also a new painting…

ย This was a very small peek of the painting because it is just the beginning and beginnings are not always beautiful to see ๐Ÿ™‚ Will show you more very soon…

I’ll leave you now with a last pic of “Love Birds” squares…

ย Thank you for your visit…

Have a wonderful week!

The baby blanket: more progress

Bonnnjouuur les amis,

Thank you so much! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your sweet and so generous words you left on my last post… They gave me a “puch” I was hoping for… To know that so many of youย passed throughย the same painful experience and that I was not alone gave me strengh and hope again… Yes,I know, we, women, are fighters but we need sometimes someone to just remind us ๐Ÿ™‚ You’ll never know how much your supporting and kind words means to me…I am so happy and lucky to have you all!

ย T H A N Kย ย  ย Y O U!

I’ve made some progress I want to show you today…

Some circles crocheted in series…

This yarn I am using is a pure pleasure! you’ll never guess how much it is soft and lovely to crochet with.It is called: Nako Baby a mixture of 50% acrylic 50% polyamid… If you don’t have Nako in your country, I suggest you look for this kind of mixture( ACRYLIC-POLYAMID) ย in another brand….because it is PERFECT ๐Ÿ™‚

Have to join them now to the two-already-made-rows ๐Ÿ™‚ yayyyy! How I love the join-as-you-go step! One of my favorite project parts ๐Ÿ™‚

Sending you love, hugs and kisses through this post ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a super day!

The traditional granny square

Good morning sweet friends,

How was your weekend? Hope that it was a little less cold in your part of the world…Here it was sunshine with a good 18 celcius d. so yesterday the girls played outside and had so much fun after weeks of gray and rainy days stucked indoors ๐Ÿ™‚ Sunshine again…yes spring is not so far anymore …

I’ve made more squares for my Love Birds blanket…I’m getting a little bored from this square ๐Ÿ™ …so I must work on something else in parallell if I want to be able to finish it …yes 121 squares is something huge and I can not work it without crocheting another wip at the same time… for the distraction ๐Ÿ˜‰

Some of you asked me how I begin a new row when I don’t want to change the color and cut the thread… Well I’ve made a small graphic for you to understand this small trick…it is so easy …

Here is the graphic of the traditional granny square I’m making for Love Birds (the first 4 rounds):

and here are the symbols used:

As you can see in the graphic, you have to close each round with a sc (U.S)ย  instead of crocheting one ch and a slip stitch. With this sc, you’ll be able to stay in the corner ( hope you’re understanding what I mean ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and begin a new round with 3ch instead of the first dc (U.S) !

For each Love birds square, I crocheted the first 3 rounds with one color and then the next four rounds in another color…

and round8 with the lovely turquoise color (I’m so in love with this color, thank you so much for all your kind comments concerning my joining colors…now, thanks to you, the turquoise is surely a winner ๐Ÿ™‚ ) and then I’ll join my squares with a line of sc (U.S) with the darker turquoise ! (You can see a small sample of the result in this previous post)

So, my sweeties, this is it! I have now to find a new wip so I can work on more than one project…yes, I am not a monogamous woman (is that an english word or translator is giving me wrong translations?????) I can never stick on one project at a time …

Have to leave you now… and go see my box-of-left-behind-wips ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have a wonderful week!
