Because a blanket without a border is not a blanket (2)

Good morning sweeties,

I finished doing the border of another blanket of mine … This blanket was made by my mom as a gift on our wedding in 2004 so it is a very loved blanket, mostly used by my husband because it is our biggest blanket so it can cover him entirely when he’s watching TV πŸ™‚ I’ll show it to you today with its new blue border …

Here it is in the living room surrounded by crochet, crochet everywhere πŸ™‚I tried making the border by crocheting grannies with picots and it turned out very nice…

Here it is in all its glory with its new blue border πŸ™‚

I also enjoy showing you the environment where this loved blanket lives…in the living room…my favorite place in the house πŸ™‚

I just love this big room where all the family members love to snuggle under blankets and enjoy little pleasures life is offering πŸ™‚ It just make me smile looking at the pics…

Wanna see what’s on the shelves?…Let’s have a peek shall we? πŸ˜‰

and some close ups…

As you maybe already noticed I love small objects and cats in particular…I have a collection of them and you can see cats everywhere in the house πŸ™‚

and I love this photo frame a gift from my sister πŸ™‚ Remembering warms the heart πŸ™‚

Two more pics of the blanket before leaving you my dear…

I enjoyed soooo much sharing with you these pics, hope you enjoyed them too…

Now I am working on two new wip πŸ˜‰ I’ll leave them as a suprise for you for next time…

Have a beautiful day,

Tissue box: the pattern

Hello my friend,

This is for you today how I made the tissue box cover…Hope you understand my charts πŸ˜‰ (I use Corel draw to make them, it is a graphic design software)

To begin you have to make a small classic granny square crocheted with 2 rounds with the same color…

and then crochet a second square and join it to the first as you go, like on this pic:

and then you continue making squares and joining them as you go as this pic:

50 granny squares in total joined as you go….choosing randomly the colors πŸ˜‰

That’s it my dear πŸ™‚

You can also decorate your tissue box by crocheting a round of dc and then another round of small shells on the top of your box…

Enjoy!

Thank you all for your visit and your sweet messages here! I really really LOVE reading them,

Have a great sunday πŸ™‚

Round granny cushion!

Hello my friend,

I just want to begin this post by thanking every single one of you for all these sweets comments you are leaving on my posts…It is making me really happy reading them:) Thank you again …You bring sunshine to my mornings!

This is the round granny cushion… (not so round i’m afraid…because my sewing skills are still very poor πŸ™ but I’m practicing and practice makes perfect, no? ;))

But I think it’s cute, don’t you?

Maybe I’ll put the pattern later … when I go back to my-normal-life πŸ™‚

And this is my yarns: 30 colors in total (40 new yarns and lot of left overs from previous projects)

I am gonna make a granny monster …yes yes a GRANNY MONSTER to test my crochet patience…

Something really big made with big granny squares: Every granny made with 14 rounds (every round crocheted with a different color:)Yes, I like to change constantly the colors, I am a little bit crazy;) )…

A total of 49 squares (7×7) to cover all our double sized bed…(I’ll show you something next time, I’ve already made 3 squares…and it is looking gorgeous…

So, I have to leave you now and wish you a fantastic week end… (Here we are still in summer and the weather is very hot…)

BIG BIG kisses,

Pinky garden cushion!

Good morning to you all,

How is everything going? My week has been very busy between the kids at home, the things to make before school…etc but it was a good week…it is lovely to be surrounded by the kids all day long …I’ll really miss them next week when the house will be empty again πŸ™

I managed a little time for crochet during this week (not my actual speedy crocheting time:)) but it’s good…and today I’m gonna show you the pinky garden cushion!

It is (like his brother, the green one) made with 16 squares.

It measures 40x40cm.

I hope you like it:)

See you nextΒ  time to show you the round granny cushion and my new yarns :D:D YES YES YES it arrived two days ago and I am soooo excited about this really big big blanket I’m gonna make for our double sized bed! It will be huuuuge and soo full of colors!
