Corners of my home

Good morning ladies,

It’s been a while and I really really missed being here with you all… I missed plenty of beautiful projects posted here when I was away but I will very soon check up on everything and I am sure there is gorgeous missed crochet projects to admire and love …

I am actually slowly working on my fairy tale blanket which I’ll show you next time but today I want to share with you some corners of my new home 🙂 which I am slowly decorating with old items and some new… I have plenty of cushions, crocheted projects for the kitchen shelves, hotpads etc to crochet and I am so happy to be busy for at least a whole year (and maybe more 🙂 ) crocheting … just crocheting and dreaming about more crochet to come 🙂 Youpyyyyyyy!

This is, first, the small living room (where the girls play and watch T.V) (and we have another bigger living room with a fireplace which I’ll show you in another post)

I love this red sofa. It is a deep red (my favorite color), but in these pics it is orange I don’t know why …

See how the crocheted items gives the whole room a lovely and warm look…

and next, the sleeping room of the girls…painted in pink…

There is two separate beds but I put the two together as the girls love to sleep close to each other 🙂

The crocheted bed covers are made by my mom and grand mother when I was pregnant with my second baby Sarah…They are colorful grannies with the last two rows of every square in light and then dark pink…I love them ! Thank you again mom and grandma for these priceless blankets I’ll cherish forever…

The framed pics above the beds are all cross stitched pics made by myself when I was pregnant …

See how patient I was? hehe

Not anymore…Now it is impossible for me to concentrate on a cross stitch project even if it is a very small one… Am I getting old? 😀

and finally these are the curtains of my girls bedroom…

A flowered curtains… My dream when I was a little girl 🙂

Hope you enjoyed these little corners of my home …It is such a pleasure to share them with you …

Thank you all for being here with me and for leaving such sweet messages…

Have a lovely week end my friend,

Kisses,

Sucrette

P.S: About the software I use to draw my patterns: It is “Corel draw” a graphic design software.

And for Marjo, who asked for the symbols in Dutch…I am very very sorry but I do not know a single word in Dutch 🙁

Sorry again Marjo… for not being able to help…

Fairy tale blanket: 8 rows!

Good evening ladies,

Hope you are as happy as myself tonight …

This is a quick post to show you my wip fairytale blanket …which is turning beautiful…

Do you want to see? These are some pics for you…

8 rows…yes I’ve made 8 rows so far and I’m in love with every single square of every single row 😀

Mmmmh what do you think? Do you feel the same?

It is strange how some colorful yarns crocheted together can make me feel so incredibly happy (and I know that I am not alone 🙂 )

My husband and many persons around me do not understand these curious feelings provoked by a hook and a yarn 🙂 but it does not matter my friend because I have you, yes you, behind your screen who understand me…

and now, with one last pic, I shall leave you……

…leave you for at least two weeks…two or maybe three very long weeks…while I’ll be packing and unpacking…and while I’ll not be having any internet connection…until everything will come back to normal again…

So my friend, before leaving you I want to thank you for being here, for all your sweet and kind words and wish you happy days full of lovely moments …

I’ll miss you 🙁

ciaoooooooo,

Sucrette

Olé Olé blanket: The border

Good evening ladies,
Hope everything is fine !

Let me begin this post by thanking each and every one of you… one by one… every single one… for every sweet comment you left on my Olé Olé blanket post…Your words filled my heart with a big joy and I felt sooo happy reading them 🙂

A BIIIIIIIIIG THANK YOU!

This is, as promised, the graphic pattern of the border of Olé Olé blanket:

You have to make two rows of dc first and for the third row (in red) all you have to do is to crochet by following the steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 (in light blue)

It is very easy, you’ll see as soon as you’ll try 😉

And for you who asked for the pattern of the blanket, I am so sorry…I took it from this french book , but you can find something quite similar in the blog of the wonderful Lucy here. 😉

That’s all my friend!

Hope I made it clear…

Do not hesitate to ask any question, I’ll be more than happy to answer 🙂

Have a great and warm evening!

Angie

Good morning my lovelies,

It is so good to see you today and begin with you this lovely week…

Here (above) is a pic to show you the border…Do you love it? It is very simple to make…

I’ll try to post a graphic pattern of the border next time if you’re interested…

Wanna jump in this pic? me too 😉

I am in love with all these little treasures that I keep project after project (and I know that I am not alone 🙂 )

Fairy tale blanket: 2 rows and 24 circles!

Good morning lovely ladies,

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my hexagon blanket… they made me sooo happy 🙂

It is so good to see you today after this busy week…

The weather here is gray, it is raining and I have a sort of very bad cold so I am not at the top 🙁

Today, some pics (I took yesterday when the sky was blue) of my wip fairy tale blanket which will become – I hope so- a bedspread for one of the girls…

2 rows and 24 circles done so far 🙂 looking great don’t you think?

Did you see my new big plastic bowl? (I don’t know if it is called a bowl or basket or something else but you understand what I mean I am sure 🙂 ) Isn’t it cute?

It is the perfect “thing” to use at home while crocheting many colors…You can see all the yarns and choose the color that you want …I am very happy with this and I think it is the best “container” I’ve ever had for crochet…and I can tell you that I am addicted to buying this sort of things 🙂 hehe

I prefer buying yarns and baskets and things for the house etc rather than buying clothes for me 🙂 I think we are all here like this, don’t you?

and now I am working on a custom-made-order of a very cute “thing” for a small princess… I hope I’ll show it to you done this week… so, stay tuned 😉

and have a lovely warm monday!

Angie
