It’s all about crochet…

When people ask me what do I do in my spare time and I answer crochet… they look at me in a strange way… Here in my country crochet is something “old fashioned”…

Well if crochet is an old fashion activity then I am “old fashioned” and proud to be 😀

Good morning lovely people around the globe… I am very happy to be with you today and to share my latest wips 😉 You are the only one to understand me and my crazy addiction 🙂

1

I am back to my Crochet Mood Blanket 2014 and I was so behind with my squares but today I crocheted June11’s square and that made me very happy 😀

2

This blanket is very special and I love it… Looking at it brings back memories and I really put my heart into crocheting each square of it 🙂

3

I felt in love with this idea to make each day of 2014 a square depending on your mood and even though I did not 100% stick to it I still choose the color of my square depending on how I feel 🙂

4

I am back also to my Vintage Stripy Blanket. Crocheting these colorful stripes calm me in the evening after a rough day… they take my stress away and I love adding one row each evening to this beauty 🙂

5

Call me crazy but I started also another granny square bedspread for our room 🙂 Yes I am crazy but granny squares with a black border was on my to-do list from long ago and I simply love them. They have a vintage sweet look that I adore 🙂 I am crocheting this new blanket with a thicker yarn (100% acrylic Nako Vizon yarn) than my granny with white bedspread…so a 4 rounds -square is big as a 6 rounds-square on the white one… This new bedspread will be for winter 😉

6

I’ll crochet it with these 35 colors and the black for the last round 🙂

Thank you dear friend for visiting today,

it is always a pleasure having you here!

Kisses and love

I breathe crochet :)

Hello there!

How’s everything?

This post is again about my hooky update 😉 Sometimes I feel like I breathe crochet 🙂

1-yarn-for-the-girls-ponchos

I choose some yarn… bright and beautiful colorful yarn to start the girls ponchos… I love when children wear colorful clothes… Don’t you agree?

And I started the two ponchos together…

2-christina's

Christina, my oldest girl (8years) chose the yellow to begin with… Here is her poncho so far…

3-sarah's

And Sarah (6years old) chose the fushia to start with 🙂

4

The yarn I am using is called Nako Lux Ninnos a very soft yarn with bright and lovely colors… It is worked with a 3.5mm hook…

I chose for the girls to make this granny poncho… It is very soothing and relaxing to work on… very simple pattern to follow once you make your first two rounds… I just love this design 🙂

You can find the pattern right here 😉

6-vintage-stripy-wip

I’ve added also more stripes to my vintage stripy blanket…

7-vintage-stripy-wip

I love the colors melting on this project… and I love to pick it on the evenings while watching TV with hubby 😉

And my crochet mood blanket is slowly growing. In the pic above you can see the first 20 days of February…

9-cmb-january-and-feb-so-far

and on this one you can see it all (January + 20 days of February) …

What do you think?  Are you in love like myself? 😀

You can find here the chart of the squares and how I am joining them together as I go with the last round 😉

10-yellow-filofax-love

I am back to my yellow filofax and using it every night to plan the next day is always a pleasure for me… I love when everything is clearly written on a paper… I am “old-fashion” I know 😉

Have to go now…

I’m wishing you a beautiful day!

Because a blanket without a border is not a blanket :)

Good morning sweeties,

and welcome to SPRING, my favorite season 🙂

Here is my very very first crocheted blanket made in 2007 but made without a border… (You can read more about it in this previous post)

and here it is with all its glory with a new shining 2011 yellow border 🙂

Yes, I decided, after 4 years to make a proper border for all my home blankets and they are three…Here is the first one done…will make the 2 others later 😉

It is a very simple border but it makes all the difference…don’t you think?

I am so in love with these two “candle holders”  (I am sure it is not the right word to describe them 😀 but I am sure you understand what I am talking about 😉 )

mmmh beautiful 🙂

One last pic of my stripes blanket…

And now I am working on a new small project…for the living room…

I’ll not tell you what it is…I’ll let you guess…

and I’ll show it to you “done” next time… 😉

And now, my lovelies, I’ll leave you with this cute quote on one of my boxes (I love boxes 🙂 all kind of…)

and wish you a perfectly beautiful Tuesday!

Kisses,

Gooooooood morninnnnnnnng to youuuuuuuu

Hellooooooooooooooo

How are you today? Here the sun is shining and the weather is super great! It feels like SPRING already 🙂

My fairy tale blanket is 12 rows already and I am so happy with how it is turning…Wanna see?

Mmmmh I just love it :):)

Still have 4 rows to go and the border (my favorite part)

Talking about borders…Do you remember this post about the 7 blankets of my home? Well, actually, I stopped for a few days now my fairy tale blanket and I am crocheting a border for the first 3 blankets in this post…Yes I have 3 old blankets without borders and I can not stand anymore looking at them without a proper border… It is like there is something huge missing to them 🙁 So I decided to crochet a beautiful border to each one of them… A beautiful and “unique” special border to each…and I started with blanket #2 the stripes…

I will show you, of course, pics of before and after for every blanket…

and now, I shall leave you with a last pic of fairy tale…which became now a big lovely square…

Have a wonderful day,

and see you very soon 😉

The 7 blankets of my home :)

Good morning,

Today, I’m gonna show you the blankets of my house…all the blankets have memories and every one holds a certain place in my heart and I love them all…

Blanket#1

This blanket was made by my mother as a gift for my wedding in 2004… I wasn’t crocheting then, I was doing cross stitch frames for my new home and I thought to my self: “wow this will take me more than 2 years to make! And I fall literally in love with this blanket which in my eyes is the most beautiful blanket in the world because made with love by my mother who was, and still is, the queen of crochet 🙂

Gorgeous, don’t you think?

Blanket#2

I learned the basic of crochet the summer of my 14th birthday but I did not practice enough, just the basic stitches and then, end 2006, I rediscovered this passion called “crochet” and since that time I am still addicted and hooked 🙂

This is my first big project made in 2007: a blanket: stripes made with treble…

I love this blanket which I made before discovering this fabulous world of blogs and inspirations on the net…and every time I look at this blanket it reminds me the beautiful evenings when I used to sit calmly and do, treble after treble, this blanket who is very special to my eyes and took me long months to finally finish…

I think that, with this blanket, I discovered the passion for colors combination 🙂

Blanket#3

I crocheted this blanket with my grand mother who is also another queen of crochet, and this is also a very special blanket because the squares were made by her, and me, together, and in 2007 she was crocheting a lot faster than me and this is not the case anymore and this makes me feel very sad… 🙁

Since I was a baby I don’t remember seeing her without her crochet and her yarns and now that she is 80 years old she is still crocheting but very slowly, at her rhythm, with her eyeglasses on and her beautiful painted in red nails dancing with the hook…Grandma I love you soooooooooo much…

and I love OUR blanket 🙂

Blanket#4

This blanket was made for my youngest daughter Sarah, 2 years ago, and now that she turned 3, everytime that she is not feeling good she asks for this blanket … and I know, then,  that something is going wrong with her 🙂 so this blanket is like a medicine for her and that makes my heart beats like crazy… Love you Sarah …

Blankets#5,6and7

I presented to you already blankets#5, 6 and 7 in my blog here, in previous posts, but let me just show you one pic of each one of them:

My Country flowers blanket:

My zigzagy blanket (granny stripes):

and finally my 3D flower blanket made for my biggest daughter Christina, who I adore 🙂

and now I am still making Blanket#8: the Monster :D:D

Ufff that was my longest post I think !

Hope you liked all the blankets of my home…

and I’ll be more than happy to see all the blankets of your home too…

Have a beautiful day wherever you are 🙂

Kisses,
