Every day…

Good morning sweeties,

Every day, every single day, when the girls go to school and Hubby go to work, I begin my little walk through the house, looking around a smile on my face…

On the living room’s couch, there is always the same little mess, the kind of mess that I adore, the kind of mess I look at and my heart sings with joy…

the proof that we were all here yesterday evening, snuggled on the sameΒ couch, together enjoying family life … and this simple pic of my home’sΒ mess makes my heart happy and my soul thankful πŸ™‚

So, I do, every day, what all the mothers and the housewives around the world do, I pick up things from the floor (it seems I am picking all day long things from the floor), specially cushions and I try, as much as I can, to make home a less messy and a happier place to live in….Isn’t it our job ? πŸ™‚

But today, with all the every day’s things I make usually,Β I have a small extra pleasure to share with you…my Christmas gift from me to me arrived two days ago πŸ™‚ …(yes, the post in my country is soooooooo sloooooooooow…it takes ages to receive an online order…and sometimes you receive, sometimes you never πŸ™

But this time, I receivedΒ the Β lovely books I was so waiting for…and I so want to show them to you…

Can’t wait to open them, smell their pages and enjoyyyyyy them πŸ™‚

Hope you have, in your life,Β every day a small extra pleasure to enjoy… it can be anything…a lovely book… a big hug…a kind word…or a ray of sunshine…

Big big kisses,

Sucrette

Back on the wheels: Sucrette’s square: two finished projects!!

Goooood morniiiing !

Yes, I’m back on the wheels… After a couple of gray days, light came back again in my life and mostly because of you and your supporting sweet words… Thank you so much my friend for your presence and for being so caring and loving…You’ll never know how much I needed every single word you left in the comments πŸ™‚

During the holidays, I worked on something I want to share with you today…In fact, the two new wips I talked about in this previous post were somehow linked in one new square I created during Christmas time.

Enough talking… let’s see something …I hear you say … ok ok πŸ™‚

With some thin cotton yarn, I’ve made some little colorful granny flowers…

and with these granny flowers I transformed a white lampshade…The same kind of lampshade I transformed back in 2010…Do you remember it?

But this time I used small granny flowers with hot glue…

and I prefer this one:

mmmh πŸ™‚ Isn’t it lovely?

And after I fall totally in love with this colorful granny flower …I decided to continue with the pattern and make it a square, yes, a little square with a 3D granny flower in it…

A little afghan block that can be used to make blankets, scarfs, potholders, coasters, cushions, table runners…etc…A variety of cute crocheted projects from this little square of mine…

Β I’m gonna call it : Sucrette’s square πŸ™‚ because it is granny and because it is colorful and because I created it and I’m madly in love with it πŸ™‚

Β So, with Sucrette’s square I’ve made these two:

Β A white lampshade decorated with little colorful granny flowers…

and…

A rectangle cushion with a green background like a field of flowers to welcome spring πŸ˜‰ (It is not too far anymore:) )

Sucrette’s square PDF pattern ( a graphic pattern with step by step pictures) will be available very soon in my etsy shop πŸ™‚ Yes, yes, yes, I’m gonna open an etsy shop and I’m totally excited about it!

And also available, very soon, here, to purchase for a very special symbolic price for you my dear friends…

Have to go now…back on the wheels…back to my ripple…and my painting…and and and… so many projects on my head… I wish I had 4 hands and days of 48 hours πŸ™‚

Love you all…and wish you a super day!

A happy update!

Hello !

How are you today? How was your weekend?

I want to begin this post by thanking you for all your sweet messages concerning the Christmas socks πŸ™‚ woooow you are so sweet and I am really really happy that you liked the little socks and that some of you are crocheting some or did even crochet already some πŸ™‚ This makes my soul sing with joy ! Thank you from the bottom of my heart πŸ™‚

And I want to say welcome to all the new followers πŸ™‚ Welcome to Le monde de Sucrette… My blog is yours πŸ™‚ (Here in Lebanon when we want to say welcome to somebody we say in Arabic: My home is yours)

Today, even though it is very dark I managed to take some pics to show you some progress I’ve made to my ripple and show you my latest painting too…

With what shall I begin?

Let’s begin with my painting : It is called : Flowers in a pitcher

Yes, yes more flowers (I think it is the only subject I can paint πŸ™‚ )

It is smaller than Flower power and the flowers are a little different … but the spirit is the same (haha)

Here you can see both paintings…yes I painted in light blue the background of flower power and it transformed it totally I can say πŸ™‚ I’ve made flowers in a pitcher’s background in light pink… My husband suggested a black background but I did not dare …

My paintings are not something really wow but I love them…too much πŸ˜€ and the therapeutic and calming effect painting gives me is unbelievable … you should try it πŸ˜‰

Hope I am not bothering you with these…I’ve already began a third one (a much smaller one ) and I can’t wait to show it to you πŸ˜‰

and now back to crochet πŸ™‚

Here too, mixing colors is sooo therapeutic πŸ™‚ Don’t you want to jump into that pic?

Don’t you feel the softness of Ripple of happiness just by looking at this pic?

Mmmm this blanket is giving me such pleasure to crochet that I don’t want to finish it at all (It is the first time I am not in a hurry to finish a crochet project )

It is so warm and cosy that it is a huge pleasure to snuggle under while crocheting stitch after stitch in the cold November evenings…

I’ll leave you with this last pic (my favorite pics are close up ones) and wish you a beautiful day filled with sunshine in your heart (the weather is not helping that much in my part of the world… don’t know in yours πŸ™‚ )

Kisses,

Something new :)

Hello sweeties,

I’m so happy to be with you today…I was really really delighted by all your comments concerning stripes of love πŸ™‚ THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!

Yesterday I started something…I’m not very confident about it yet and I really really don’t know how it will turn out…will it become something wearable or will it go to the box of unfinished projects?

Did you guessed what it is? of course no πŸ™‚ well, it is a neck warmer kind of thing πŸ™‚ hehe I can see your surprised face from here πŸ™‚

It will become (I hope so) a big-rectangle-kind-of-thing-you-put-around-your-neck-to-keep-you-warm πŸ™‚

It is worked all in dc… in a big empty circle…big enough to go through my head… and when I’ll finish it I hope I’ll make one for every member of this family πŸ™‚ (crossing my fingers)

Today, I’m starting too something for Christmas … Hope I can show it to you next time…

I just love making small projects between big ones…. mixing between blankets and easy-fast-kind-of-projects πŸ™‚

Have a marvellous week end!

and see you very soon πŸ™‚

Playing with dcs…

Good morning ,

I am waiting for the arrival of 40 yarns straight from the UK …I have in mind to make a very big blanket, big enough to cover all our double sized bed…yaaay I don’t know if I will be patient enough to finish this kind of big project…we will see…

It takes too long to come all the way from the UK to Lebanon, so, I’ve been playing theses two past days with the left over yarns from the cotton ones I used to remake the two leather stools (yes the number 2 is done:) I’ll show it to you very soon, did not take any pics yet)

It’s been a while since I did crochet anything with just dcs…but I learned today that I do not love this kind of crochet projects… No, I don’t like to make 3D objects or amigurumi things…That was the conclusion of the day πŸ™‚

Sorry if I talked too much, lets have some pics…

I made a “doudou” , a kind of doggy, for my niece Clara who is 5 months old:)…and then I tried a Christmas ball for the Christmas tree but that was a first trial, not too good as you’ll notice :S:S

and finally, I crocheted a 3D heart (a new pattern I made) using dc as I noticed the 3D one crocheted with tr have some holes in it and was not too perfect as a heart should be… (If anyone is interested in the pattern of this heart, let me know and I’ll be glad to post it:))

So, what do you think?

Uuuuuf that was a very long post…

I am practicing my English thanks to you dear readers :):)

I have now to leave you and wish you a wonderful day full of beautiful moments…

Kisses!
