Rainbow ripple : It is done!

Bonjouuuuur 🙂

Today is a perfect day to reveal : My Rainbow ripple blanket 🙂 Yes, it is done!

The weather is sooooo bad here, so grey and rainy that a little colorful post is welcome …a little colorful I said? A little too colorful 🙂

Prepare your sunglasses my sweeties and let’s jump into a wonderful world of colorful crochet 🙂 Are you reaaaaaaaaadyyyyy? I bet you are 🙂

Rainbow ripple is crocheted with a 4.5 crochet hook using Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic yarn.

The colors are used as following: Dark green – Turquoise -Dark blue – Purple – Pink – Red – Orange – Yellow – Light green and then Dark green again etc etc as they come in a rainbow…alternating the number of rows of every color as in Lucy’s ripple…

The crochet pattern I followed is here 🙂

Did you noticed my “orchidées”… It will make again flowers very soon 🙂 yaaaay!

Here it is laying on the floor of my craft room where the light is not very good in winter days…

Here is a close up of the edging:

I’ve made a simple picot edging on the rippling sides only ! Oh how I love picot edgings 🙂

And here is Rainbow Ripple on the green sofa:

Now the girls are fighting who’s gonna cuddle under it tonight and every night 🙂 It is the first time they fight and I am mouth open in a big smiley face 🙂 Yes, they are fighting for a piece of crochet I made with so much love 🙂

You can take out your sunglasses now 😀 hehe

Have a wonderful day my friend!

Sending you a rainbow of happiness through this post…

Bye bye

Crochet, crochet and more crochet :)

Gooood morninnnnng!

How are you today? Even though it is monday and it is grey and it is raining and it is cold I’m feeling goooood 🙂 Hope you’re feeling the same 😉

This weekend I’ve made the first steps of Love Birds…and I enjoyed it to the max…

little 3 rounds-granny-squares 🙂

the hearts of Love Birds 🙂 I’ve made one with every color of my stash…

You can not imagine the amount of pleasure this new wip blanket is giving me 🙂

and I’ve made some progress on my rainbow ripple too…

I know, I know the colors are too bright…but I’m loving it for this particular reason… A rainbow must have bright colors, don’t you agree? It must brighten up the greyest days of winter !

8 more rows to go and I’ll finish it ! I’ll surely miss rippling with its bright colors… such a soothing effect 🙂

When I’ll finish my rainbow ripple, I want to crochet a cushion like this one. I fell crazy in love with this cute cushion made by the talented Paula! and ever since I’ve kept it in my mind 🙂 She even shared how she made it:here and she crocheted also another gorgeous one! Thank you Paula for this inspiring work!

Go visit Paula, She’s got a lovely blog where she share beautiful handmade cards and gorgeous crochet!

That’s it for today! It was all crochet talking 🙂 Don’t you sometimes feel so grateful because you know how to crochet? 🙂

Isn’t it wonderful that with this small piece that we call : “hook” and  some yarn you can make such beautiful things that make you and your loved ones so happy 🙂 ?

Happy monday to you all!

LOVE,

Rainbow ripple : a colorful update

Hello hello helloooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well….wow…I am so happy that you loved so much little Teddy ! Thank you thank you thank you for your support and sweetness 🙂 The pattern will stay in the right side bar of this blog if anyone still wants to buy it 🙂 and if anybody paid and did not know where to download it please e-mail me and I’ll send it right away by mail for you to download!

Today, I want to show you some progress I’ve made to my rainbow ripple…

It is very colorful…I warn you…I MUST WARN YOU 🙂

So? Are you reaaaaaaaaaaaady?

The yarn I’m working with is Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic yarn crocheted with a 4.5mm crochet hook.

In my basket that I cherish so much 🙂

I want to tell you sweeties that if you’re looking for a similar basket don’t give up hope… 😉

I’ve been looking for this basket for more than a year, then one day I saw it by mistake in our local church. The priest was sweet enough to give it to me saying that it was too big and too heavy for them and that they needed a smaller one…So, I took it home 🙂 and my heart was singing of joy 🙂 I was soooo happy 🙂 and the next day I took 2 smaller baskets to the church with a very big “thank you” …

This is to tell you that sometimes when you’re looking too hard for something you don’t find it…and then, one day, you find it by mistake in a so inappropriate place for it … that’s life 🙂

I hope that you enjoyed my rainbow update 🙂 I feel that when I’m crocheting this blanket my mood changes… I feel happy and relax as soon as I make a couple of stitches… Magical, soothing crochet 🙂

Have a relaxing and happy day!
