crochet love

Good morning sweeties,

I’ve been crocheting a lot…a really lot these days…It seems like the hook is burning in my hands and yarn is flying everywhere around me πŸ™‚ A lot of creative ideas are melting in my head and I feel every night that I am running out of time to make all I want to make and I wish that the days were longer (a 48h day is good for me πŸ˜‰ )

I am working on more than 4 wips at the same time…Yes, each day I am picking 3 different hook sizes and working with them… crochet crochet crochet every second of myΒ free time πŸ™‚

Here are some…yes some of my wips of the moment…

1-poncho

* My poncho: The front is done…All the circles of the back are done too…Still have to join them and sew the front and the back together and decide on an edging πŸ™‚ So, a tadaaa post very soon πŸ˜‰

4-crochet-mood-blanket-jan25

* The crochet mood blanket… January 25… 25 squares done so far…I am adoring this project πŸ™‚ and how the squares of my moody days are coming along together beautifully…

5-new-granny-cushion-(1)

6-new-granny-cushion

* A new granny cushion with the wonderful mirage yarn πŸ™‚ I love the colors of the mirage range but it is a thinner yarn worked with a 3.25 mm hook so small projects are done with itΒ (You see I am not so patient to work a blanket with this yarn πŸ™‚ )

7-secret-project

* A new secret project with a chunky yarn will be revealed to you very soon I hope πŸ˜‰

Blogging about my wips is a way for me to stay focused on them and remember to finish some before beginning others. That don’t always work … but I am trying my best πŸ˜‰

Wishing you a wonderful creative week!

Kisses from the bottom of my heart

The table runner :)

Oh hello lovelies!

It is such a beautiful day today and I’m in love… deeply madly crazy in love with my latest finished project… Are you ready to fall too? I’m sure you are πŸ˜‰

Let’s have some close up pics …

I love love love this simple graphic square…I think it is simple but beautiful… and I love it even more because it is the fruit of my imagination… my own drawing… πŸ™‚

table-runner-5

and I love the whole result…the table runner in all its glory…all these bright and beautiful colors mixed together in a lovely patchwork…

I feel happy whenever I enter the sitting room πŸ™‚

Now for the part you are all waiting for: The how to…

I crocheted this table runner with a thin cotton yarn called “Camilla 6/4” and a 2mm crochet hook. I made it by joining as I go the squares together in a randomly use of colors…

I drew for you my friend the graphic chart of this square… It is right here:

graphic square

As you noticed, the joining part was made as-I-go with round 5 (in black in the chart) and it is done where I put the arrows…(Instead of the middle chain a slip joining stitch)

Each square was done in a different color and I made a very simple edging (1sc, 4ch, 1sc) all around the whole table runner…

I am in love with it (did I already told you that?? I don’t think so :D) and I think that this graphic square will be beautiful if used to make coasters, cushions or a summer blanket why not?

So, my lovely friend, I’ll have to leave you now with a last pic…

table-runner-8

and wish you a wonderful day!

P.S: I draw all my graphic charts including this oneΒ using Corel Draw (a graphic design software) as many of you keep asking me πŸ™‚

and one last thing: Some of you asks me if I can explain some of the charts with written words and I am so sorry about that but I just can’t do it sometimes… I am unable to do it πŸ™ It is too difficult for me as I myself cannot follow an english written pattern πŸ™ not yet! but one day… πŸ˜‰

Kisses to all!

Weekending

Hello!

How was your weekend?

MineΒ was good …at home…

fall_in_love_8_rows1

I’ve made some progress with “fall” in love…8 rows already…

I always make a square with each color…without finishing the last joining round…and then I lay them all on the floor to choose the place of each color…

fall_in_love_8_rows2

…writing the colors on a piece of paper…(very bad memory πŸ™‚ )

fall_in_love_8_rows3

I love how this blanket is turning out…

and while I was in my own paradise…the girls were coloring TOGETHER…yes together … this don’t happen everyday πŸ˜‰ and it always ends with a fight πŸ™‚

and baby Joe was gently napping …

19 Nov

Monday…monday

Good morning my friend!

How are you? How’s everything in your part of the world?

Today, I want to show you my finished cowl, the beginning of a new ripple blanket for baby Joe and many other things…

First, there is something that made me super happy this week end:

One of my patterns hasΒ been featured in AllFreeCrochetAfghanPatterns…yaaay πŸ™‚Β It is in a free e-book that includes 7 different ripple patterns. Please feel free to download a copy of this lovely e-book from this link:

http://www.allfreecrochetafghanpatterns.com/Ripple/How-To-Crochet-a-Ripple-Crochet-Afghan-7-Free-Crochet-Patterns-eBook

Thank you allfreecrochetafghanpatterns πŸ™‚

SoΒ I started a new blanket for baby Joe using this particular ripple pattern…Here is what I’ve been up to so far…

I’m loving so much the colors πŸ™‚

I wanted to make, using the same colors, a moss stitch blanket for Joe…I started it but felt that it will never finish on time and that the winter will pass before he can use it… so I stopped…The moss stitch is wonderful but the progress you make with that stitch specially when you have a time-consuming-little-baby is very very slow…that’s why I chose to make a ripple instead…

Here is my finished cowl using the moss stitch:

Excuse the pics taken with my PJ πŸ™‚ but that’s what I’m wearing most of the days πŸ™‚ hahaha

The cold days are slowly coming in our country and the crocheted bedspreads are back again on our beds…

In Joe’s room:

In the girls’s room:

And in our’s too:

Our room is still waiting for its new beadspread “love birds” which is still not finished πŸ™

and finally finally the love of my life…

Baby Joseph who’s now 2 months old

and who’s making his first smiles

Have a happy week πŸ™‚

Big big kisses from the bottom of my heart!
