In my colorful world

Hello!

The title of that post could be the bedspread tadaaaa but I will not make a proper tadaaa post now. I will leave it for later.

The first bedspread is done. And it is beautiful. Really beautiful.

1

But it needs one more round to add to the edging. A round not in grey.

3

But I will not do it now. I need to finish the second bedspread (yes they are 2) and then make a proper edging for both and a proper tadaaa post for both too. Because they will live in the same room on twin beds ♥

2

I love the simplicity of this plain design. I love how the corners make shapes when joined together. I simply love it ♥

You can find a pattern for both the square and the joining method here.

4

Now I started the second one. Same design. Same colors. Same yarn (Stylecraft special dk and stylecraft life dk) and same love ♥

And I started a ripple blanket too ♥ I have a really really big stash of aran yarn and had some days ago a ripple envy ♥

5

A very big colorful ripple (one color by row) to keep me busy this coming winter. Want to join me? I will be hooking this blanket along with the second bedspread.

6

I will be using all the colors of my stash even the ones that I don’t really love. Not very sure about the result but a little voice in my head keeps saying yes to me.

7

And I must confess that even though I hold my breathe every time I add a new color, I am loving it more and more ♥

The pattern I am using is my loving ripples of happiness and you can find it here. So come on! join me! Let’s destash! Let’s create something beautiful from our leftovers. A rainbow of beautiful ripples ♥ Let’s hook together during the cold months this soothing colorful blanket :) I will be really really happy if you join me!

8

And I am still knitting my second trendy chale. It made me very happy to see that some of you joined me in this knitting project. I love my first trendy chale* and wear it every day. Can’t wait to finish this second one too.

*All about my trendy chale in this post 😉

Have to leave you now…

Wishing you a really really lovely day ♥

Stay safe ♥

Morning lovelies!

I finished my blue shawl last week. It was a lovely shawl, easy pattern to follow and a wonderful yarn to crochet with…

Some infos about this shawl

♥ Yarn: Debbie bliss baby cachmerino blue (About 9 x 50g with the fringes )

♥ Hook: 3.5 mm

♥ Pattern: The pattern is by mypicot.com You can find it if you google: mypicot 10007 shawl. I followed the exact chart but did not crochet the fringes on the sides. Instead I crocheted 5ch 😉

7

The first bedspread I am crocheting for my girls room is mostly done too. I still have 18 squares to add and an edging of course :) I am totally completely in love with it ♥

8

and I am already planning the second one :) Grannies… yes… my eternal love ♥

*The yarn I am using for both bedspread is Stylecraft special DK and Stylecraft life DK*

9

And I am also knitting. I want to finish my “trendy chale” before the cold. I love the color sooo much. It is the burnt orange of the Debbie bliss cashmerino aran and the needles 8mm :) The “trendy chale” is a triangular very simple shawl and you increase just one stitch in each row. I love the simplicity of the design and the warm and snuggly look of the final shawl ♥

10

And I am still into knitted beanies. I am loving the chunky look of them knitted with chunky yarn. Here I am using the drops andes yarn ♥

That’s all my friends! All about my actual creative projects ♥

Stay safe, take care of yourself and see you very soon 😉

Much love,

Sucrette

A baby boy blanket and a new blog’s layout

By |March 18th, 2015|"done", Classic square, Crocheted blankets, edging, for babies, Patchwork crocheted squares|24 Comments

Good morning sweeties,

The baby boy blanket is done and this was my fastest project ever … two weeks :) yaaaayyy

1

I am very happy with the result…

2

Simple, classic squares surrounded by a round of granny grey … very simple but I love it :)

3

For the edging I chose to make a simple one too … one round of turquoise followed by one round of grey with picots :)

4

The yarn is a 100% acrylic DK one called Mirage and the hook a 3.5mm one.

Do you like it?

5

And did you noticed the new layout of Le monde de Sucrette? I hope you like it too. I’ve been working really hard on this one . Oh how I hate technology … luckily for me my man is a pro in computers stuff 😀 phewwww

P.S: You can now find all the patterns in the header :) I’m loving right now neater layouts :)

P.S 2: Please if you find something “not normal” in the blog, if you can not write a comment or buy a pattern or anything please do e-mail me sucrette@lemondedesucrette.com and I’ll fix it asap. I really appreciate it :)

Thank you all for visiting and commenting. Your presence makes me really really happy

Love to all

Sucrette

P.S 3: With this new theme and layout I can make small hearts in my posts and everywhere else and that makes me veryyyyyyyy happy :)

The crochet mood blanket 2014

By |February 9th, 2015|"done", Crochet mood blanket 2014, Crocheted blankets, patchwork, Patchwork crocheted squares|18 Comments

Yes it is finally done :) in February 2015 :)

1

I started this blanket in January 2014 making one square a day and choosing the color of this square depending on my mood … the good and happy days were bright and happy colors… the bad days: greys and dark colors… the “in love” days : reds and purples… the calm, relaxed and peaceful days: cremes, whites and pastel colors :)

2

Back in early september I stopped it … completely… I was not “in the mood” anymore… and I decided to finally finish it in January 2015… so the last squares were not done  depending on my mood… but I really really love the result… It is amazing to see a whole (not so whole) year in a blanket :)

3

This blanket is made of squares… each one is made of 5 rows of 12 dc… joined as I go with a last round around the square of 1sc 3ch 1sc… and I rotated each square before joining it to the others to have this patchwork effect :) You can find the pattern of this blanket HERE.

4

I used leftovers of my trusted Nako Vizon aran acrylic yarn and a 4.5mm hook…

The final blanket is 270 squares (18 x 15)

5

For the edging I chose to make a very very simple one: 1sc 3ch 1sc all around the blanket like the last joining round of each square. I think that a very simple design blanket like this one must have a very simple edging …

6

And I am really pleased with the edging :)

7

The blanket looks lovely in the sitting room and I think that it will stay forever there keeping us snuggly and cosy during the cold days :)

8

Have to leave you now… the weather is very very bad here today and there is a storm coming our way …

10

Wishing you a warm and happy week!

The 4 wips I’m taking with me to 2015

By |December 19th, 2014|Bedspread, Crochet mood blanket 2014, Crocheted blankets, for babies, granny squares, Hexagons, Patchwork crocheted squares, Stripes, wips|15 Comments

Good morning my sweet friend,

How are you today? I think that this will be my last post in 2014 so I thought about sharing with you my actual projects, the ones that I’ll take with me to 2015 😉

1* My Debbie bliss cachmerino aran hexagons blanket

1

I soooo love this project that I really really don’t want it to finish …

2

2* My granny squares bedspread… my labour of love…

3

… adding squares made from scraps…

4

… joining a row every now and then …

5

… and watching it ssslllooowwwllllyyyy grow :)

3* A new baby blanket for a princess due in April…

6

I love these colors together. Warm and happy colors. I can’t make a blanket with pastels… I really can’t…

7

I am still not sure about the pattern. It is a kind of V stitch but with less holes. I’m still trying it out. Once I get it right I’ll share with you the chart 😉

4* and finally my Crochet Mood Blanket 2014. I can’t seem to have the strengh to finish it. I must. It is a beauty. But I don’t know why I am neglecting it and it is thrown in this basket :( I really really should finish it ……….

8

I finished all my gifts early this year and I am ready to welcome Christmas with a happy heart :)

I wish you a blessed festive season, a Merry Merry Christmas filled with love, health and joy!

See you next year 😉
