The first completed project for 2015

By |January 30th, 2015|"done", Bedspread, Corners of my home, Crocheted blankets, granny squares|30 Comments

Good morning lovelies

I am sure you already guessed. The bedspread is done! Houraaayyyy! Tadaaaaa :)

1

I am dancing with joy around it :) feeling proud :)

2

My labor of love is finally done and I looooooove it from the bottom of my heart :)

3

324 (18 x 18) granny squares crocheted with love… 3 colorful rounds and a black fourth round each :) Joined with rows of sc in black :)

4

This bedspread was crocheted with Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic aran yarn and a 4.5mm hook. I used 12 x 100g of the black yarn and leftovers colored yarn (I really don’t know how many balls)

5

I used a granny simple edging of 3 colored rounds (green, purple and dark orange) followed by a round in black with picots ( 1picot = 4ch and 1sc in the first chain ). A very simple edging but I loooove it.

6

You can find the pattern of each square HERE

7

Sorry for all the pics :) but I am sooo happy I have to share with you :)

8

Hope you love it as much as I do :)

9

Wishing you a beautiful weekend!

Good morning my sweet friend,

How are you today? I think that this will be my last post in 2014 so I thought about sharing with you my actual projects, the ones that I’ll take with me to 2015 ;)

1* My Debbie bliss cachmerino aran hexagons blanket

1

I soooo love this project that I really really don’t want it to finish …

2

2* My granny squares bedspread… my labour of love…

3

… adding squares made from scraps…

4

… joining a row every now and then …

5

… and watching it ssslllooowwwllllyyyy grow :)

3* A new baby blanket for a princess due in April…

6

I love these colors together. Warm and happy colors. I can’t make a blanket with pastels… I really can’t…

7

I am still not sure about the pattern. It is a kind of V stitch but with less holes. I’m still trying it out. Once I get it right I’ll share with you the chart ;)

4* and finally my Crochet Mood Blanket 2014. I can’t seem to have the strengh to finish it. I must. It is a beauty. But I don’t know why I am neglecting it and it is thrown in this basket :( I really really should finish it ……….

8

I finished all my gifts early this year and I am ready to welcome Christmas with a happy heart :)

I wish you a blessed festive season, a Merry Merry Christmas filled with love, health and joy!

See you next year ;)

Hello there!

By |November 28th, 2014|Bedspread, granny squares, hama beads, Ripple, wips|9 Comments

This is not a long post just a quick one to say hello how are you? hope everything is good in your part of the world :)

My life is a little bit chaotic these days. It is always like that in November and December. It seems like time is running very fast and sometimes I feel like I wake up on monday morning and close my eyes and it is already friday evening… yes time flies… and I keep reminding myself to slow down… slow down and enjoy the moment… slow down and manage to do some crochet… an hour per day… not more… slow down and breathe :)

1

So I am right now edging my squares with black…

2

It is taking me like forever but I know deep inside that the result will be amazing :)

3

And I am working too on Sarah’s bedspread whenever I can. I’m progressing very slowly on it but ripples are always a joy to work on so I am not in a hurry to finish it… not at all ;)

4

And while I crochet, the girls are now completely addicted to the perler beads (hama beads). They spent most of their free time on these :)

5

Their little colorful creations make me very happy and I am proud of their creativity. The two birds of the first pic and the clown on the second pic are totally created by them and when I asked my 7 years daughter why her clown’s mouth is not centered in his face she replied that he is whistling and that made me laugh :D

Well, my friend, this is all that I have to share with you today!

I am wishing you a lovely weekend with your loved ones!

Stay warm and enjoy the moment :)
