New yarn, new wip

Good morning ladies,

Hope you are enjoying your morning with a hot cup of coffee like myself πŸ™‚

Yesterday I bought some new yarn to add to my old stash

7 new colors and a lot of leftovers…

This 100% acrylic yarn is much thinner than the old one…It has to be crocheted with a 3mm hook… and I love how a normal 4 rounds granny square looks much smaller in this kind of yarn!

I have now two projects I am working on: The first one is a granny blanket for a friend who’s giving birth in July …

The second one is “love at first sight” and I am thinking about offering it as a wedding gift for another friend who’s getting married in July also :):)

But but but …

I could not resist trying out the new yarn πŸ˜‰

Who could resist ???

and I made some squares using the same pattern as my fairy tale blanket! (I just love this pattern!!!)…but this time the colors looks a little “vintage” and I joined with the “off-white-beige” color…so it is looking like a vintage blanket and this is how I decided to name it πŸ˜€

The squares are very soft and a lot smaller and I love them …The colors are not so bright (as for my other projects) and I am thrilled to try out working with them too …

So “Vintage blanket ” is going to be my third wip …

but I should really really finish the granny one (one more row of squares ans a border) and show it to you …It is looking very nice you’ll see πŸ˜‰

Time to go now…

Thank you for visiting!

Big big kisses!

Fairy tale blanket :)

Good morniiiiiiiiiiiiiing,

Well well well my fairy tale is finished…done…terminΓ©e….Can I say FINALLY finished? Yes, kind of… because at the very end I was like: “I want to finish you because I can not stand you anymore on my knees!!!” πŸ™‚ but the result is amazing and I am proud πŸ™‚

Lets have some pics…shall we?

I started this blanket in my old house on the 15th of January…and blogged about it here…

2 months and a half crocheting squares… a total of 180 squares…

…180 squares joined on-the-go using this pattern

…180 squares crocheted with a 4 mm hook and a wonderful 100% acrylic yarn called “Nako vizon” (you can see the yarn I used in this post)

Dim: 145x180cm which is big enough to snuggle under… πŸ™‚

…a blanket made with memories…a “move” to a new house and a new beginning…

… like a flower meadow…in a spring morning πŸ™‚

I think this blanket will be very much loved πŸ™‚

so, what do you think? Are you, just like myself, totally crazy in love? πŸ˜€

A very last pic before leaving you my dear….Wishing you a wonderful monday πŸ˜‰

Thank you for your visit!

Kisses,

Sucrette

Gooooooood morninnnnnnnng to youuuuuuuu

Hellooooooooooooooo

How are you today? Here the sun is shining and the weather is super great! It feels like SPRING already πŸ™‚

My fairy tale blanket is 12 rows already and I am so happy with how it is turning…Wanna see?

Mmmmh I just love it :):)

Still have 4 rows to go and the border (my favorite part)

Talking about borders…Do you remember this post about the 7 blankets of my home? Well, actually, I stopped for a few days now my fairy tale blanket and I am crocheting a border for the first 3 blankets in this post…Yes I have 3 old blankets without borders and I can not stand anymore looking at them without a proper border… It is like there is something huge missing to them πŸ™ So I decided to crochet a beautiful border to each one of them… A beautiful and “unique” special border to each…and I started with blanket #2 the stripes…

I will show you, of course, pics of before and after for every blanket…

and now, I shall leave you with a last pic of fairy tale…which became now a big lovely square…

Have a wonderful day,

and see you very soon πŸ˜‰

Fairy tale blanket: 8 rows!

Good evening ladies,

Hope you are as happy as myself tonight …

This is a quick post to show you my wip fairytale blanket …which is turning beautiful…

Do you want to see? These are some pics for you…

8 rows…yes I’ve made 8 rows so far and I’m in love with every single square of every single row πŸ˜€

Mmmmh what do you think? Do you feel the same?

It is strange how some colorful yarns crocheted together can make me feel so incredibly happy (and I know that I am not alone πŸ™‚ )

My husband and many persons around me do not understand these curious feelings provoked by a hook and a yarn πŸ™‚ but it does not matter my friend because I have you, yes you, behind your screen who understand me…

and now, with one last pic, I shall leave you……

…leave you for at least two weeks…two or maybe three very long weeks…while I’ll be packing and unpacking…and while I’ll not be having any internet connection…until everything will come back to normal again…

So my friend, before leaving you I want to thank you for being here, for all your sweet and kind words and wish you happy days full of lovely moments …

I’ll miss you πŸ™

ciaoooooooo,

Fairy tale blanket: 2 rows and 24 circles!

Good morning lovely ladies,

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my hexagon blanket… they made me sooo happy πŸ™‚

It is so good to see you today after this busy week…

The weather here is gray, it is raining and I have a sort of very bad cold so I am not at the top πŸ™

Today, some pics (I took yesterday when the sky was blue) of my wip fairy tale blanket which will become – I hope so- a bedspread for one of the girls…

2 rows and 24 circles done so far πŸ™‚ looking great don’t you think?

Did you see my new big plastic bowl? (I don’t know if it is called a bowl or basket or something else but you understand what I mean I am sure πŸ™‚ ) Isn’t it cute?

It is the perfect “thing” to use at home while crocheting many colors…You can see all the yarns and choose the color that you want …I am very happy with this and I think it is the best “container” I’ve ever had for crochet…and I can tell you that I am addicted to buying this sort of things πŸ™‚ hehe

I prefer buying yarns and baskets and things for the house etc rather than buying clothes for me πŸ™‚ I think we are all here like this, don’t you?

and now I am working on a custom-made-order of a very cute “thing” for a small princess… I hope I’ll show it to you done this week… so, stay tuned πŸ˜‰

and have a lovely warm monday!
