Rainbow ripple : It is done!

Bonjouuuuur 🙂

Today is a perfect day to reveal : My Rainbow ripple blanket 🙂 Yes, it is done!

The weather is sooooo bad here, so grey and rainy that a little colorful post is welcome …a little colorful I said? A little too colorful 🙂

Prepare your sunglasses my sweeties and let’s jump into a wonderful world of colorful crochet 🙂 Are you reaaaaaaaaadyyyyy? I bet you are 🙂

Rainbow ripple is crocheted with a 4.5 crochet hook using Nako Vizon a 100% acrylic yarn.

The colors are used as following: Dark green – Turquoise -Dark blue – Purple – Pink – Red – Orange – Yellow – Light green and then Dark green again etc etc as they come in a rainbow…alternating the number of rows of every color as in Lucy’s ripple

The crochet pattern I followed is here 🙂

Did you noticed my “orchidées”… It will make again flowers very soon 🙂 yaaaay!

Here it is laying on the floor of my craft room where the light is not very good in winter days…

Here is a close up of the edging:

I’ve made a simple picot edging on the rippling sides only ! Oh how I love picot edgings 🙂

And here is Rainbow Ripple on the green sofa:

Now the girls are fighting who’s gonna cuddle under it tonight and every night 🙂 It is the first time they fight and I am mouth open in a big smiley face 🙂 Yes, they are fighting for a piece of crochet I made with so much love 🙂

You can take out your sunglasses now 😀 hehe

Have a wonderful day my friend!

Sending you a rainbow of happiness through this post…

Bye bye

Sucrette

    Niiiice!
Must admit, at first I didn’t really like this version of the ripple pattern, as seen on many other blogs a well, but your rainbow colours do the trick. Now I will get my butt up and finish off the last few ravels on my own Rainbow Ripple that’s just been lying there…’cos I don’t like the ravels…This Weekend I Will Do It!

It’s B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L and bright just as it should be, I love your picot edging, so simple and so pretty. If your girls are fighting over it you know what means don’t you? You need to make another blanket LOL.

  22. Julia T

WOW what an amazing afghan! My oldest daughter loves rainbows, and I think she would love this beautiful blanket wrapping around her in college dorm room…I am also thinking it might make a pretty scarf? Anyway, thanks so much for all of the inspiration and cheer on your blog! It is a rainy Friday morning here in the southeastern states, and I would give anything to be able to cuddle up under an afghan like this with a hot cup of coffee…my doggie would love it too 😉 I bet your girls are just thrilled with all of the pillows and such on your couches…do you plan to make another Rainbow Ripple so that each young lady can have her own? That is my issue with making just one of some things…I have 2 girls, also, and they both love to snuggle under blankets 😉 have an absolutely marvelous day, Angie!!!

    Angie,
I love the colors, bright like they are, it is amazing, love how the colors blend together. The alternating rows as in Lucy’s blanket looks awesome with those colors. It’s nice when your family members appreciate what you make.
Hugs, thanks for the bright, cheeriness, we are also having a very dull, raining, pouring kind of day here.

Hi Angie, woohoo! It is colorful and so very beautiful! Will definitely perk up those wintry days in Lebanon. I love the colors in your home. Especially that aubergine chair. And I don’t think I’ve seen the green L-shaped couch before. Love it! Especially with the framed Indian quilts above. I’ve done the same in my bedroom. The colors of your pretty crocheted blankets and pillows just blend so beautifully in your space. I would definitely want to snuggle up with such a pretty blanket. I’m sure you will be making another beauty very soon so that the girls don’t have to fight over this one. Ha! Wishing you a wonderful day filled with sunshine from within. 🙂 Tammy

  84. Megan

Hi… I happened upon your beautiful afghan on Pinterest. It’s just lovely!

I’m also interested in the pillow pictured sitting on top of the rolled up afghan… do you have a pattern for it anywhere on your blog? I thought it might look like “circle in a square” in a 9-patch pattern, but I couldn’t be sure.

Again, I love your creations and appreciate the amount of work that must go into it all!
