YARN how I love you :)

Good morning sweeties!

When I went yarn shopping 2 days ago I was singing in the rain 🙂 Yes, it was raining and the sky was dark grey but I had sunshine in my heart and I was sooo joyful! I think one of my best things to do is yarn shopping and I know that I am not alone 😉

So, I chose some yarn to add to my “Stripes of Love”, my Husband’s blanket…

Yes, I know, not my-kind-of-colors … but I like them… and they will be great when added to the blanket…

and I chose some more yarn so I can start a ripple and join the ripple along held by Lucy and Heather !

I don’t know yet when I’ll begin my ripple…I have two blankets on the go, you know, and this ripple will be my third blanket on the go :S but I could not resist… (who could?)

So I bought some yummy yarn in delicious colors 🙂

Here they are: 15 colors so far:

dark green – very light green – red – blue – orange – leaf green – light salmon

very light blue – dark red – yellow mustard – deep pink – light turquoise – dark mauve – green – purple

Don’t know yet if I’ll use them all and if I’ll add some more colors or no….

but I looooooooove them! The colors are really really beautiful in “live”…

The yarn is called Nako Nakolen. It is a 50% wool 50% acrylic blend….

Very soft and so perfect to crochet with… I keep opening the box, touching the yarn, dreaming and closing the box 🙂 (crazy crazy crazy crazy)

My hand is itching and I don’t know yet when my resistance will fail and I’ll finally begin my “Ripples of happiness” (This is how I’m gonna call this blanket to be)

So, I’m going right right now to join the ripple along! There is a flickr group here ! Come on, join me there! It will be a lovely experience 🙂

Have a terrific day!

P.S: My blooming flower cushion is done so a tadaaaa post is coming very soon….Stay tuned 😉

We are all addicted. I also have two blankets on the go. I had decided I wouldn’t join the ripple along, but I did. I am going yarn shopping this morning. I also just finished my Hubby’s blanket. It wasn’t in my colors either, but he loves it. Oh well, at least our addiction to yarn leads to beautiful and useful things.

    Oh..this is wonderful…great colours!
I envy you a bit because I can’t just go out and buy yarn around here. Online shopping is okay but sometimes you’ve to see the colours and touch the yarn, donÄt you think?

Love the colours and I’m sure your blanket will be beautiful.

I struggled to find yarn for the blanket I just finished and I really struggled to choose which colour to use next for each row!! Yarn shopping isn’t much fun – won’t be till I find a good yarn store locally. Instead I’m having to order online which works out sometimes, but not always!

Am tempted by the ripple along so much but have a few blankets already on the go, but i do really need a ripple blanket in soft rose, green & cream for my sitting room, its a must really, i might just have to give in & join up 🙂

Hi Angie, I do love yarn shopping. Right now I am still trying to figure out what I want to make. Can’t seem to find my focus at the moment. We have high humidity here lately, and yes, I am not so far from you — at least in the same region. I am in Kuwait — one of my very best friends who was here moved back to Lebanon but her husband is here working again while she stayed there with the boys. I’ve been to Lebanon several times and likely will make it there again to see Mona at some point. I think she is coming here in December for a visit. She also crochets, knits, cross-stitches and so very talented with anything artsy. I miss having her here to create with. Hope you have a great weekend. Tammy

    Hi Angie,

Your stripe blanket for your husband is turning out beautifully.
I also saw the ripple along with Lucy and Heather. I totally want to join that one too. I don’t know how many wip’s I have, love the look of the ripple blankets.

Estou encantada com o colorido dos seus trabalhos!

Os ponchos estão lindos e , agradecendo ter publicado o esquema, estou a levar para fazer também .

Depois quando terminar venho mostrar a foto.

    Uma ótima semana
