A third project on the go :)

Good morniiiiiiiing sweet people!

When I first saw Lucy’s blooming flower cushion I thought to myself I have to make one of my own, I HAVE TO!

This flower cushion is incredibly beautiful, wonderful, amazing …. I fell crazy in love and was a little bit afraid of the tutorial thinking that it was maybe too hard and complicated… and then, I tried it one night…and it worked…and when you’ve done the first four rounds it becomes very simple… ooooh a lovely tutorial with a lovely result… Thank you so much Lucy!

Before trying it, I decided to use the same thin acrylic yarn that I used for this cushion and this one! It is called : Mirage 100%acrylic yarn and I have some leftover in beautiful colors…

It is much thinner than the Nako yarn I normally work with to make most of my blankets and projects!  and it is crocheted with a 3mm hook !

So, after I put all my left over mirage yarn in my plastic basket I began following stitch after stitch Lucy’s lovely tutorial that you can find here!

I can tell you something about this tuto…it is very addictive…and the more you work on…the more beautiful it becomes….the more you want to crochet….

I even added 3 more rounds yesterday evening to show them to you… This is how it looks like this morning 🙂

My husband who never never comment on any of my hook projects said to me yesterday: ” This is beautiful!! ” 😀 (lucky me 🙂 )

I’m thinking about making it very very big…. 45 cm diam…but I don’t know if the tutorial will still work for so many number of rounds… do you have any idea? Did anyone of you worked on this and made it very big? I would really love to know…

Anyhow, Thank you again Lucy for this marvelous project!

and thank you all for visiting today!

Sending you parcels of love via this blog 🙂

Warm kisses!

Stripes of Love: some progress

Good morning sweeties!

I’ve been crocheting Stripes of love this week and when I feel too bored doing one treble after another I move to “Myyyy vintage blanket” to have some fun 🙂 hehe

I can never stick to one single project at a time…

So today I’m gonna show you some progress I made to my hubby’s blanket, stripes of love…

I even cheated a little bit and put some dark pink…but shuuuut do not tell him… he will for sure not even notice it when he will see the hole blanket done 🙂 hehe

I can not stick to masculine colors only … what can I do ?

Should I add more greens and blues? maybe…

I’m making Stripes of Love by crocheting 3 rows of treble, one row of dc in cream, 3 rows of treble etc

Here is a close-up… did you notice the row after the dc one?

Yes, it is crocheted in the back part of each dc stitch…I love the small lines in cream 🙂

Have to go now…

Thank you so much for your visit today and thank you for following me here in my new address and thank you for all the sweet comments you’re leaving day after day… it is always a huge pleasure reading them 🙂

Have a wonderful monday!

2 new blankets on the go :)

Good morning my friend!

I’m so happy to have you here today in my new blog 🙂

New blog, new wips and they are once more blankets 🙂

I’m obsessed with blankets! I can not help my self making more and more! But let me tell you something: I do not have a proper blanket for myself 🙁 Every time I crochet a new one, I offer it to a friend or a cousin etc

Remember my fairy tale blanket who was supposed to be a blanket for myself? Well I offered it to a friend 🙂

Remember also my love@first sight hexagon one ? I offered it too to a cousin of mine!

So I decided now to have my own blanket which I’m gonna call: Myyyy vintage blanket…It will gonna be a mixture between two patterns (the square from the fairy tale one and the inside of my love@first sight one ) with vintage colors… Too complicated to understand eh??

Well, to resume, it will be something like this:

Yes, I know, many of you are surely tired to see this kind of pattern with a creamy border….again…sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyy 🙁 but I HAVE to make one for myself ! I have to do it !!! and I will! I tried to change a little bit from the pattern of my fairy tale one…but the spirit is still the same… hope this will not bother you too much 😉

I’ll make a graphic pattern also if somebody is interested in having it!

All my graphic patterns are still here in this blog on the right sidebar! And on the left one you can find the categories, the archives, the awards and you can subscribe there too to receive an e-mail every time I write a new post!

and because I can not work on a single project I started also another blanket. This one will be for my one and only 🙂 My lovable husband who also, as far as I remember do not have a proper masculine blanket for himself 🙂

It will be called: stripes of love

and it will be huge because hubby is very very tall 🙂

working on this kind of stripy blanket may be very boring…specially if it is too large…that’s why I’m crocheting two different projects together 😉

I’m trying not to use girly-girly colors for this blanket and this is very difficult for me…

It is crocheted like this: 3 rows of tr, 1 row of dc in cream, 3 rows of treble , 1 row of dc in cream etc etc

and the row after the dc one is worked always with the back part of the dc stitch 🙂

That’s all for today! Hope you enjoyed my very first post here! Hope you loved my new blog too!

Do not forget to add this new address instead of the old one in your reader or blogroll! Just delete : “.wordpress” Thanks!

I’m sending you warm kisses and hugs from : https://lemondedesucrette.com
