Stripy baby blanket: Tadaaaaaaaa

By
July 28, 2011

YES YES Yes it is done 🙂 and it is beautiful specially when you imagine a small cute baby snuggled under ….

The stripy blanket is over and I love how it turned out finally…

specially when I made the border (thank you mum for suggesting the red color…it was an excellent choice I think:) )

If someone is interested in the graphic pattern of the stripy’s border let me know so I’ll post it here …

The blanket measures 70x90cm which is a good size for a baby…

It is crocheted with a 3.5mm crochet hook and the yarn is: nako baby 50%acrylic 50%polyamid … a very soft and soooo good to hook with yarn… If you can not find this yarn in your country I suggest that you choose a yarn with this particular mixture: acrylic+polyamid…it is sooo soft you can not work with something else after you tried it…I swear 😀

I’m so in love that I suggested to my hubby yesterday that we have a third baby to go with the blanket :):) hehe

So? what do you think?  Hope you liked as much as myself 🙂

The giant granny is done too…yesterday I finished its border…I’m off to take some pics that I can show you later…

and now I’m sooooooooooo thrilled to begin something new….yaaaaaaayyyy!

Big big kisses to you all!

Sucrette

Hola.

    Very pretty!
Please please tell us how you do your graphic patterns? There’s been some questions on our (Afrikaans) Facebook page “Ons Hekel” – somebody who also can’t write the patterns and want to draw in on computer…thanks 🙂

I have loved this blankie from the beginning! Earlier I had a question about the stripes – in the back loop, now you crochet and then don’t turn and go back but end, and then start a new colour at the beginning?
I was going back and forth, and it didn’t look right.
    Thanks, Penny
