OhAngelina, I think trebles are US doubles. If not i’m doing it wrong ๐Ÿ™‚ Ummmm, when you say ‘colorful’ can colorful mean lots of different yarn types (eyelash, fluffy, sparkly) of two main colors?? (silver and teal) ๐Ÿ˜‰ If not i’m back to my color disaster and decidly unglam granny ๐Ÿ™‚ oh no, I’m a granny cheat!!

    • Sucrette

Ooh it’s lovely when everyone joins in isn’t it!? I have to say that I won’t be participating, but I will be enjoying every moment of everyone else’s journey with their giant granny squares. I simply have too much that I am already doing, I must finish those before I start anything else.

    Hi Angie,
Thank you for your sweet wish :-).

I decided to begin with the challenge! I couldn’t wait to start something new. I only want three rows for my babyblanket and a border (maybe you have a nice suggestion?) so I think I can make it. My duedate is july 31 so I should still have some time..

How wonderful it is that some many people are joining! Really great!
I posted my first picture on Flickr!

    Love, Charlotte

    Hello

This looks like fun, I’d love to join in but I don’t think I have time. My tip is that when I do granny squares I don’t like the way they sort of spiral, and it is much more noticeable on a giant granny, so instead of always having the same side facing me as the ‘front’ I alternate from one side to the other on each round: that way your squares don’t twist and spiral, and the finished blanket is reversible too!

    • ohangelina

ahh. i like ! so when you say spiral, is the same as me saying ruffle? you mean..not laying flat? good tip missy ! x

Hello, oh how much fun, thank you for such a wonderful crochet along idea. I definitely want to join in…and just need a simple project to do right now, I love the vintage charm this will add to my home, I’m going to get my hook asap. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Lacey

I recently finished a blanket that had about 40 rounds and a simple US double edging for my baby cousin. Two rows each colour, very nice!

  16. Fruitful Fusion

Granny squares are brilliant! I’ve just finished a big one!
